Site for BMX Racing in Queensland.
BMX QLD Inc. is the State Body responsible for the growth of the sport of BMX in QLD. We are affiliated with BMX Australia and funded by Queensland Sport and Recreation. An elected Board of Directors oversees the operation of the sport. There are 7 Directors on the Board, each with a separate portfolio. They meet regularly as a group and at other times with representatives of member clubs and zones where they workshop ideas that will continue to improve our sport. BMX QLD Inc. hosts one event each year, that being the State Championships. Participation numbers continue to climb annually with numbers at the 2007 State Championships in Harbour City being only just shy of the total participants at the National Championships for the same year. BMX Racing is huge in QLD. There are 32 Clubs located across the state from the Gold Coast to Weipa and their members represent just under half of the total BMX Population for Australia. We currently have 2520 members aged 4yrs to 60+ and this number is growing each week as more families discover the excitement of BMX Racing To find how you can become involved in this dynamic and exciting new Olympic Sport use the links to the left of this page.
