2020 BMX QLD COVID – 19, Stage Two Restrictions
25 March 2020
RE: COVID – 19, Stage Two Restrictions.
Dear BMX Queensland Zones, Clubs and Members
BMX Queensland takes the health and wellbeing of our members, volunteers and staff very seriously. For this reason, and
in line with new restrictions announced by the Australian Government that came into effect at midnight Wednesday 25
March 2020, BMX Queensland has decided to direct its member/affiliated clubs and zones cancel all club racing, training
and club coaching activities until further notice.
You are welcome to contact BMX Queensland with any queries, as we seek to remain connected with our state’s BMX
community through this difficult time. Please keep in mind that the decision to cancel BMX activities was not taken lightly
and has been made in the interests of keeping people safe.
Our governance partners, CPR Group, have been helping clubs to prepare for the current period of closure and assisting
volunteers to respond to the current COVID – 19 crisis. Should you wish to discuss the process for suspending your club’s
operations and making the best use of your committee’s forced downtime, please contact CPR Group at
www.cprgroup.com.au.
As a reminder from the Australian Government:
Protect others and stop the spread
We can all help slow the spread of COVID-19 in Australia.
To protect others you must:
# practice good hygiene
# practice social distancing
# follow the limits for public gatherings
# understand how to self-isolate if you need to
