Bicycle Motocross, (Bmx) is a sport that can be enjoyed by the entire family.  Participants can be aged from 3years to the Elderly and negotiate an outdoor track made up of jumps and turns over a distance of approximately 400 meters.

Bmx is an Olympic sport and the UCI, (Union Cycliste Internationale) is the Worlds governing body. Bmx Australia looks after Racing, Coaching Accreditation and Officiating nationally. The State bodies run the sport in their respective states and conduct Coaching and Official training.

Bmx Queensland administers the sport of Bmx racing in the state and has a Board of Directors responsible for different areas.

The Rider development Portfolio provides resources to hold Coaching Courses across the State to skill and upskill individuals to be able to assess and provide Training regimes to our Members in a safe environment.

Becoming a coach is a rewarding experience, no matter what level of rider you coach. From Mini Wheelers and Sprockets at the beginning for their time in the sport, through to club, state and national level riders – and those special few who ride internationally – there are many opportunities for coaches to learn and develop with riders.
