History The Harbour City BMX Club first began in 1980 under the direction of Phil Grant. With hours of hard labour by very keen workers using only shovels and wheelbarrows, the track slowly took shape. Phil’s vision was to build a track for his boys and their mates and as time transpired and word got around and a lot of the local kids joined in on the fun. BMX had come to Gladstone and was here to stay. About The Club Today the club has over seventy riders ranging in ages from three to forty-five. It boasts a canteen, shower and toilet block, barbeque, tables and seating facilities around the track as well as beautifully kept gardens that enhance the surroundings. The track itself is well maintained with challenging jumps, rhythm sections and high berms to test the best of riders. The start hill has a shade cover, with the starts being operated by a ‘smart start’ system. Info Club racing is held on Saturdays and we race year round except school and public holidays – registration from 4.00 – 4.45 and racing from 5.00pm.
