President’s Message:
Pine Rivers BMX Club has a proud history of being a family oriented club that encourages riders of all ages and abilities to come along, participate and be part of what makes this club so special.
Councillor Mike Charlton officially announced in 2018 that the club will be getting a new facility. The Nolan Park precinct in Brendale will be built to national standards, complete with professional world class race track,
grandstands and clubhouse Moreton Bay Regional Council is finalizing the master plan with detailed design work beginning in 2019. We will continue to make improvements to our current facilities throughout the year up
until moving to the new facility.
The club continues to operate on volunteers. Ask how you can help out to make sure our riders all have then opportunity to ride their best each training, gates or race night.
Our Coaching Team remains dedicated to ensure that every rider is race ready and able to get the best out of themselves both here and as they travel to compete further afield.
If you are interested in racing at other events there are open days (a one off race day) at various clubs nearby. This is a great opportunity to test your skills against members from other clubs. Pine Rivers BMX Club will
host our annual open day in June. Please check the calendar and lock in the date.
For the more adventurous, Pine Rivers members can also compete at local title events, the Southern Zone Championships to be held at Ipswich BMX Club this year in June and the Queensland State Titles at the Sarina
BMX Club in first week of the September school holidays.
Other major BMX events to be held this year include the Australian National Championships being held in Shepparton, Victoria in May and the BMX World Championships to be held at Zolder, Belgium in July.
We will have dedicated sign on days so watch our facebook page for all the details. On these days we will be collecting club membership and have Pine Rivers BMX Club Jersey Order forms. Please come and join in the
Club events, help out where you can, join in the healthy spirit of competition and participate in social activities that the club has planned.
If you are on Facebook make sure you like our page so that you are fully up to date with changes to scheduling, any changes of racing or training times due to weather and other important information.
